It is mainly used in aluminum extrusion industry and is produced by continuous casting or DC method.Aluminum extrusion is a method in which aluminum billets are converted to profiles with a specific surface. In the extrusion method, aluminum metal enters the special mold with hydraulic pressure and after cooling, it becomes the desired product. The application of these profiles is different and they are mostly used in the construction industry.
Dimensions of aluminum billet
In general, aluminum billets are produced in different dimensions and sizes according to the mold used during casting. Most of the produced billets by the South Aluminum Industries Complex are produced in the form of cylinders with a diameter of 280 (11 inches) and a length of 7,500 mm.
